Travels Home Windsor Castle St. George's Chapel Capesthorne Hall Hampton Court

The Guild Hall, just outside Windsor Castle and opposite our hotel. It was here where Prince Charles and Camilla were married.

At St. George's Chapel.

Also taken at St. George's Chapel.

St. George’s Chapel

The Chapel was finally completed in 1528. The coffins of Henry VIII, Jane Seymour & (after being beheaded) Charles 1st were laid to rest under the centre of the Quire. Many other Kings, Queens and royals from the past are interred within the chapel.

No one could believe that we had such glorious weather. We had torrential rain driving down to Windsor Castle and the same on our drive back up north.

We were not allowed to take photos inside but my favourite sight was of the fan vaulted ceiling. This was from one site on the internet. There is so much to take in that you cannot decide whether to look up, or down. It’s fascinating to look at inventories which are dated and hand written in 1384 displayed inside the chapel.

American tourists took this one of us.
